The Allotment - 13th July 2003
After some harvesting
We still have a Lettuce abundance, so don't be surprised if we come to see you and bring some crops we have too much of.
Recently we have been busy with other projects
and harvesting various crops
- Over 4kg of Redcurrants
- Lettuces
- Over 1kg of Blackcurrants
- About 2kg of Raspberries and more to come
- Loganberries are building up
- Blackberries are just starting
- Several weekly crops of carrots, potatoes, shallots and lettuces
- Starting to harvest Courgettes, some rather large up to 50mm (2") in diameter
- Also starting is the French Beans
- Last of the early Strawberries, the late Strawberries are probably late next year!
- Did I mention Lettuces
- End of week should see start of mini-cucumbers
The part of the bed above the strawberries has been converted to a raised bed containing cabbage seedlings.
