21st December 2009 it started snowing ar around 2 pm and did not stop until late in the night.
Extra mayhem was caused when local buses stopped running at 3 pm and taxis by 4 pm, then the panic set in as people tried to get home, and many were stuck in queues for hours (locally up to 8 hours, nationally some were stuck for over 14 hours).
